At the Wall Township Group Home, there is always something happening. The house is home to Robert F., Robert B., Troy, and Anthony. During my visit, Program Manager Theresa gave me a tour of the home and introduced me to each of the residents in their rooms. I was struck by how well Theresa knows the ins and outs of each individual, treating them with the same care and attention one would give to family.
Life at the group home is never dull. From food shopping trips and birthday celebrations to family gatherings, doctor’s appointments, daily program schedules, and park outings, Theresa keeps her residents engaged, active, and thriving. She ensures that each day brings both structure and joy.
One small but meaningful moment truly captured the spirit of the Wall Township Group Home. As Robert returned from his day program, Theresa introduced us. He smiled warmly and shared that he’d had a good day listening to music along the way. That brief exchange reflected the heart of this home, a place where residents are supported, celebrated, and always made to feel at home.
