From the BOARD OF TRUSTEES/PRESIDENT

Dear Friends and Supporters of AMIB,

As I step down as President of the Board, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you for upholding AMIB’s incredible legacy. Since 1970, AMIB has remained steadfast in its mission to improve the lives of individuals with visual impairments and other health challenges. I have every confidence our leadership will continue this important work.

For the past 11 years, AMIB has been committed to establishing 20 homes—an achievement now within reach thanks to this dedicated community. “Always Making It Better” is more than a motto; it reflects the compassion and purpose that define AMIB.

I am grateful to the staff, board members, volunteers, and supporters who make this mission possible. A special congratulations to Aaron on 25 years of leadership—your dedication has shaped AMIB into the thriving community it is today.

Though I am stepping down as President, I will remain actively involved as Past President. My admiration for AMIB will never fade. My sister Andrea, like so many others, has lived a full and wonderful life because of this community’s generosity.

With gratitude,
Lillian H. Johnsen
