17th & 18th Homes Opened Spring 2024 Thanks to You!

Images of home 17 and 18 in Brick, NJThank you to our supporters who helped AMIB open its 17th and 18th group homes, welcoming eight new residents who are blind or visually impaired with multiple impairments. This expansion reflects AMIB’s unwavering dedication to its mission of inclusivity and empowerment; our goal is to open two new homes every other year to help as many in need as possible. AMIB believes that everyone, regardless of disability, deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life within their community. These new homes go beyond providing shelter; they offer vital opportunities for independence, specialized support, and a genuine sense of belonging.

One resident expressed, “I love my new house because I get to hang out with my friends all the time,” while another shared, “Staff is so nice, and they help us do so many fun things like parties with other houses and trips.”

AMIB is committed to holistic care, ensuring that each resident has the resources to develop essential life skills, pursue personal goals, and build meaningful relationships. By promoting autonomy and self-determination, AMIB creates an environment of respect and empowerment where individuals can have a voice and actively contribute to society.
